Application

Lexan 143R is a transparent polycarbonate (PC resin) material produced by Saudi Basic Industries. It has a melt index of 10.5g (at 300°C 1.2kg) and is suitable for injection molding, contains anti-UV agents and mold release agents and can be used to produce products for long term outdoor use.

⚠️Note: Sabic Lexan 143R is available in two colors: Sabic Lexan 143R-111 is transparent and colorless, while Sabic Lexan143R-701 is black. If you require custom colored polycarbonate materials, please contact us.

Sabic 143R-111 PC Advantage

UV-resistant PC resin, Sabic Lexan 143R-111 contains UV-resistant ingredients and can be used to produce transparent parts suitable for long-term outdoor use, such as sun panels, car lampshades, garden lampshades, etc.
Lexan 143R PC pellets have good impact resistance. At 23°C, the notched cantilever impact is 801 J/m, the unnotched cantilever impact is 3204 J/m, and the drop weight impact is 169 J. They are suitable for the production of parts with high impact resistance requirements.
Good optical properties. Sabic Lexan 143R-111 polycarbonate material has a transmittance of 88% in ASTM D1003, slightly higher than conventional PC resin, and a haze of only 1% under a 2540μm test environment. Its refractive index is 1.586, making it suitable for lampshade applications that require high clarity and transparency.
