Application
Delrin 500P polyoxymethylene (POM) is a homopolymer acetal material (POM-H) produced by DuPont performance polymers, which has better heat resistance, wear resistance and lubricity. It has good processing conditions and a melt index of 15g/10min, can be used for injection molding and extrusion molding. Due to its excellent lubricity, it is often used in the production of automotive parts, valves, bearings, transmissions and gears.
⚠️Note: Delrin 500P NC010 is milky white pom, as shown in the left picture. If you need black acetal pellets, the grade is Delrin 500P BK602, please contact us.

DuPont Delrin 500P NC010 POM pellets Advantage

Delrin 500P POM has excellent lubrication and friction resistance. It is made of homopolymer polyoxymethylene (POM-H). Compared with the common copolymer polyoxymethylene (POM-C) , it has better lubrication performance and a smaller friction coefficient. 500P POM is often used in the production of gears, slides, bearings and other applications with more stringent friction requirements.

Excellent self lubricating performance, the lubrication of DuPont 500P is significantly better than that of POM granules of the same type. The finished product of 500P POM granules has smaller friction coefficient and is an excellent raw material for bearings and gears.
- Excellent high temperature resistance, 500P POM has a heat deformation temperature of 160°C under 0.45MPa test environment, and even 95°C under 1.8MPa test temperature. Its melting temperature is as high as 178°C, which is much higher than that of general Acetal materials. It is very suitable for applications with high temperature requirements.
- Low emission of volatile organic compounds. Acetal materials will inevitably produce volatile organic compounds during processing. The emission test of Delrin 500P in the German Industry Federation Automotive Parts Test Technical Specification (VDA Performance) is only 8mg/kg, which is a relatively low value. The release of harmful substances during processing is relatively small

Good processing performance. Compared with conventional acetal materials, Delrin 500P has a higher melt index of 15g/10min. Under the test environment of 190℃ and 2.16kg, the higher fluid velocity enables it to produce more precise and complex products. At the same time, the material contains a release agent to reduce material residue during processing and improve product production efficiency.
