CHIMEI PH-88 is a high-impact polystyrene resin manufactured by Taiwan’s Chimei Corporation, also known as”HIPS material.”It offers excellent impact resistance and processing properties, features a transparent color, and is suitable for producing impact-resistant applications such as appliance housings, automotive components, and toys.

Chimei PH-88 HIPS pellets Advantage
- High impact resistance. Compared to conventional polystyrene materials, Chimei PH-88 HIPS material offers the significant advantage of exceptional impact resistance. Under test conditions of 23°C and 3.2mm thickness, it achieves an Izod notch impact value of 10 kg·cm/cm. Even in extreme low-temperature environments of -30°C, it maintains an impact resistance of 6 kJ/m², making it suitable for applications requiring impact resistance such as toys, appliance housings, and office equipment.
- Easy to process, PH-88 HIPS material exhibits a melt flow index (MFI or MVR) of 6g/10min at 200°C under a 5kg test environment, making it suitable for common injection molding processes. Additionally, CHIMEI PH-88 incorporates release agents and lubricants, facilitating large-scale and rapid production.
